*AGIA ANNA BEACH is a very well organized sandy beach with sun beds and umbrellas and crystal clear transparent waters .Good quality restaurants, beach bars, café-bars, are close to the beach.
*AGIOS PROKOPIOS BEACH is a beautiful sandy beach with deep blue waters It is very well organized and it is among the 10 best beaches in Europe. It provides lots of facilities for swimming, sun bathing and water sports. . Near the beach you will find shops, taverns, restaurants.
*AGIOS GEORGIOS is a splendid sandy beach with shallow waters, protected from the winds, ideal for children. There is an organized sports center operating with modern equipment for water sports. Taverns, restaurants, beach bars and shops are close to the beach.
*KASTRAKI is a 3 km long beach with white sand, blue green waters and sand hills with cedars. In this relaxing beach you can find beautiful taverns. Locally there are nice rocky formations that create small secluded coves that allow anyone who wants to do naked bath.
*PLAKA is the longest sandy beach (4km) that extends from Agia Anna beach. There you will find taverns and bars. Is an impressive huge and beautiful beach with sand, protected from the summer winds.

 

TOP SIGHSEEING SITES

**KASTRO is an old castle and nowdays is inhabited .It is the most picturesque quarter in Naxos Town. The modern part of the town is constructed around this castle.
**PORTARA is the trademark of Naxos. This massive marble doorway is the first thing you see as the ferry approaches the port. It is the unfinished gate of a big temple dedicated to Apollo.
**MELANES KOUROS STATUE is a remarkable statue of Kouros and can be seen outside the village of Melanes, in the countryside of Naxos. The statue of Melanes lies on the ground, at the exact position that it was found by the archeologists. It is 6 metres long and dates back to 7th century.
**DEMETER TEMPLE is located near the village of Sangri. This magnificent temple has been made of the finest quality of Naxos marble and is believed to date back to the 6th century BC. As Demeter was the ancient goddess of grain, people used to build temples to her close to fertile areas.
**PANAGIA DROSSIANI CHURCH This beautiful church is standing near the little village of Moni, in the inland of Naxos. This is an Early Christian church, one of the oldest churches of the island, dating back to the 6th- 7th century. It has round, smooth shapes and a dome. The interior is decorated with beautiful wall paintings.
